It was following a car accident that Linda Leclerc discovered laughter yoga. Her first contact with the method was in the spring of 2003, when she was a stressed out manager and a “serious and responsible adult”. Not only did she start laughing again (Halleluia!) but the pain she had been experiencing ever since the accident diminished significantly until it had virtually disappeared. (Hello endorphins!) She was convinced! It really does work! Not just for one’s state of mind and drive but also for one’s physical wellbeing.
Linda Leclerc, a bubbly and charismatic woman, has been practicing laughter yoga professionally since 2003. As the first Master Trainer in Canada (and one of the four first Master Trainers in the world), she founded the School of Laughter Yoga in the spring of 2005. She received her training from the founders of the method, Dr. Madan Kataria and Madhuri Kataria, from India, and she continues to perfect her craft drawing from a variety of sources.
She shares her energy, passion, generosity and her vast professional experience to help you take advantage of the natural health benefits of laughter yoga.
Pioneer of the movement in North America, Linda Leclerc has laughed and worked with thousands of organizations, businesses and groups since 2003. The programs MAXI-LAUGHmc and MIDI-RIREmc are among the most popular at events. Linda is invited regularly by the media as an expert to talk about the benefits of laughter.
Founder of the HAHA Sisterhoodmc, an international community of women who laugh intentionally, Linda is a distinguished member of the world laughter yoga network where she acts as a resource and speaker within the global organization that brings together more than 10 000 laughter clubs throughout the world.
She is also the recipient of two prestigious Laughter Ambassador Award, acknowledgements she received for the quality of her work and her international outreach.
A dynamic speaker and generous teacher, Linda delivers energizing keynotes and teaches this effective method to manage stress and have more fun in life. Her strengths are undoubtedly her talent for communicating her enthusiasm and her capacity to laugh at life situations. As a recognized leading figure in the subject of laughter yoga, Linda is innovative and inspiring in her methods and she knows how to adapt to the needs of each specific group.
Linda holds a degree in génagogie from the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières. She is the co-author of the book Le yoga du rire, and the creator of the audio collection Destination Rire in addition to a number of tools designed to incorporate laughter into one’s life.
Rire + Exercices de rire and Let’s Laugh! Laughter Exercises, the first apps of their kind for smartphone and tablet, are available at the Appstore and on GooglePlay. Linda has also designed two online self-coaching programs “S’entraîner à la joie” and “Chaque jour la joie“.
Her latest project, an audio podcast called The JOY Element, is a collection of inspiring and thought provoking conversations.
