Try to smile

You know what I like to do when I’m driving in “heavy” traffic and feel tense? I like to smile.

It’s magical!

Whenever I feel I’m getting impatient or angry, I smile. I may do it mechanically at first, but it’s still a smile.

Simply by smiling, here’s what I’ve observed:

  • I can’t go on being angry when I’ve been smiling for 10 seconds. My brain can’t let me continue to feel this emotion when I smile;
  • I can let other drivers pass me, cut me off or squeeze in front of my car because I feel more open and tolerant;
  • I can even laugh (note that this laugh can sometimes resemble the “wicked wizard’s laugh” at first!).

And finally, most of the time

  • I’m starting to relax… which is a really nice side effect, I’m sure you’ll agree!

So folks, my two cents worth of advice to you is this: SOURCE MORE!

From the moment you get up in the morning, SMILE! And from the moment you start your car, smile! And even when you’re just smiling, you’ll feel better, the people around you will feel better, and you’ll be more tolerant of everything!

And that’s the truth HAHA!

P.S. How do you like me as Linda “Simpson”? It makes me smile!

Laughter, joy and health

Linda
